WhatsApp-first · pre-launch preview

RylaPay

Money home, in your own words.

Type it, say it, or photograph the account details. Ryla works out what you meant, asks if it isn't sure, and puts the full quote in front of you before anything moves.

  • Reads the amount, the currency, and who it's for
  • Asks one question when it isn't sure
  • Shows the whole quote before anything moves

Ask however you like

Waitlist only. No transfer instruction or customer funds are accepted here.

Say it the way you'd say it to a person.

Ryla is built for how the corridor actually writes — English, Pidgin and Yoruba, shorthand amounts, nicknames, and typos. Every line below is a real sentence from the parser's test corpus, next to what it resolves to.

It answers straight away

Enough detail to price the transfer, so there is nothing to ask.

How much to send 50k to naija
₦50,000 to Nigeria, priced from what they receive
send 200 pounds to mama
£200.00 to your saved recipient
abeg send 20k naira to chidi
₦20,000 to Chidi
send 2 hundred pounds to mama
£200.00 — written amounts count too
they should get 120000 naira
priced backwards from the receive amount

It asks one question

Something is genuinely ambiguous. Ryla asks rather than picking for you.

send 200
“Is that £200.00 or ₦200?”
send 5k to mama
“Pounds or naira?” — the amount and the person are already understood
fi 5k ranse to naira
reads the Yoruba, then confirms the currency

These work from anywhere

Mid-flow, mid-quote, or from a cold start.

wia my money dey
your transfers, and what each is waiting on
elo ni rate
today's rate card
agent
hands the conversation to a person
FREEZE
stops account transactions immediately

Understanding you is not the same as acting for you

The assistant prepares the request. The controls that release money are separate from it, by design.

It never moves money by itself

The assistant can read rates, limits, status, and your saved recipients, and it can fill in what you meant. It cannot send. Every transfer still passes the same PIN, verification, and risk checks, whether you typed a sentence or tapped a button.

It will not take a PIN or a code by voice

Voice notes are refused outright at any PIN or one-time-code step, before the recording is transcribed. Those are typed, always.

It never guesses a recipient

Account details read from a photo are shown back to you and run through the same validation as typed ones. Nothing is saved, and nothing is sent, until you confirm the name on the account.

When it isn't sure, it asks. It doesn't guess.

“Send 200” could be two hundred pounds or two hundred naira, and the difference is a hundredfold. Rather than pick one, Ryla puts the question in front of you as two buttons — and keeps everything it already understood.

That is the shape of the whole conversation: no dead ends, no silent assumption about money, and never more questions than the sentence actually left open.

RylaPay

Product conversation

Send a voice note instead of typing

For hands-full moments, and for anyone who would rather talk than type. Ryla shows you what it heard before acting on it — and refuses a voice note outright at a PIN or code step, before the audio is ever transcribed.

RylaPay

Product conversation

Photograph the account details

The details someone sends you are usually a screenshot. Ryla is built to read one, then put it through exactly the same account-number and bank checks as typed details. It never saves or sends on what it read alone.

RylaPay

Product conversation

Ask where your money is. Or stop everything.

Come back to the same conversation for status, a re-sent payment link, a receipt, or a cancellation while one is still allowed. One word — FREEZE — stops account transactions from any point in any flow.

Planned experience

A clear path from request to status

The interface keeps the transfer details visible at each step. Nothing on this preview submits a payment.

  1. 1

    Describe the transfer

Tell RylaPay the direction, amount, and recipient in a guided chat. The conversation shown here is a product preview, not a live transfer service.

  2. 2

    Review the full quote

Before continuing, review the currencies, recipient amount, exchange rate, fee, and quote expiry together.

  3. 3

    Complete and follow

At launch, the chat will guide the required payment step and show status updates. Delivery timing will depend on the selected providers and checks.

Security in layers

Lock the transaction, the account, and the conversation for different reasons.

A phone lock is useful, but one control should not carry every job. Ryla separates transfer authorisation and emergency account protection; WhatsApp offers an optional extra privacy layer on your device.

RylaPay

Emergency command preview

The emergency command works independently from the transaction PIN.

Transaction authorisation

Ryla's 6-digit PIN

Required before every transfer. This protects the money action; it is separate from your phone or WhatsApp lock.

Emergency account control

Send FREEZE at any time

Ryla stops transactions and starts the identity-verification path before the account can be unlocked.

Optional device privacy

WhatsApp Chat Lock

You can place the conversation behind your device password or biometric and hide its notification details. WhatsApp controls this feature; it does not replace the Ryla PIN or FREEZE.

Read WhatsApp's Chat Lock overview

Keep the roles clear: Chat Lock protects access to the conversation on your device. The Ryla PIN authorises a transfer. FREEZE stops account transactions.

Launch corridor

Built for value moving both ways

The platform models pounds to naira and naira to pounds. Starting with GBP ⇄ NGN — more currencies are planned as partner and regulatory approvals complete.

GBP-NGN

UK to Nigeria

The planned launch flow starts with pounds and quotes a recipient amount in naira.

NGN-GBP

Nigeria to UK

The platform also models the reverse direction. Public availability depends on final partner and compliance approval.

Product principles

Designed so the important details do not disappear.

Moving money deserves a calmer interface: one request, one visible quote, explicit states, and a support path that is easy to find.

01

The quote comes first

The product is designed to show the exchange rate, fee, destination amount, and expiry before a customer proceeds.

02

Speak it, snap it, or type it

The chat is built to take a voice note like "send 5k to mama", read account details from a photo, and accept a payment receipt — always confirming what it understood before anything moves.

03

Every action has a state

Transfer records, provider events, and reconciliation controls are built to make status changes traceable.

04

Checks are part of the flow

Identity, risk, and transaction checks are designed into the service rather than added after money starts moving.

05

A human is one word away

Typing "agent" in the chat is designed to hand the conversation to a person. Before launch, questions about the preview or waitlist can be sent to contact@rylapay.com.

Channel status

WhatsApp-first, with availability stated plainly.

A public chat entry point will be published only when the service is ready to use. Until then, the waitlist is the only way to register interest.

WhatsApp

Planned first experience

The product is being designed around a guided WhatsApp conversation. The public service is not open yet.

Trust starts before the first transfer.

RYLAPAY LTD is registered in England and Wales under company number 17300144. Company registration is not financial services authorisation, and RylaPay is not yet offering a transfer service.

Launch readiness

In progress

Pre-launch means no customer transfers

RylaPay is not accepting or moving customer money through this website today.

Provider selection is still in progress

Banking, payment, verification, and payout arrangements will be named only after agreements and approvals are complete.

The platform has financial controls

The codebase includes identity checks, risk controls, double-entry accounting, idempotency, reconciliation, and audit records.

Launch is gated

RylaPay will open only after its legal, operational, provider, security, and end-to-end launch checks are signed off.

Current answers

Questions worth answering before launch

These answers describe the product as it stands today, not the service we hope to offer later.

Can I make a transfer today?

No. RylaPay is a pre-launch product preview and is not accepting customer funds or transfer instructions. The waitlist is the only public sign-up on this site.

When will RylaPay launch?

There is no public launch date yet. Provider agreements, regulatory arrangements, production cutover, and end-to-end testing must be complete first.

Will WhatsApp be available?

WhatsApp is the planned first customer experience. No public RylaPay chat entry point is offered from this page today, and availability will be confirmed only after launch checks are complete.

How is the service being designed for safety?

The platform includes identity and risk checks, transaction records, ledger controls, provider-event verification, and reconciliation. Those controls still need production evidence before launch.

What will a transfer cost?

Launch pricing has not been published. The product is designed to show the rate, fee, recipient amount, and quote expiry before a customer proceeds.

Will both directions be available?

The platform is built for GBP to NGN and NGN to GBP. The directions available at launch will depend on final provider coverage and compliance approval.
